Wine Producer: ESTATE CHRISOHOOU
Enologist: Chrisohoou Nana, Bersos Nikos
Variety: 60% Xinomavro, 40% Merlot
Locality : Strantza Naoussas
Vineyard: It is extended in the South-eastern slopes of mountain "Vermion", in the region Strantza Naoussas, in altitude of 250 metres
Territory: Area hilly with ground sand clay
Microclimate: It is characterized by the cold northern winds, that blown the winter, as well as from abundant rainfalls, that are marked at all the duration of time, apart from the summertime’s months, at which is often observed drought
Vintage: Xinomavro after the 20th of September and Merlot around the 30rd of August
Vinification: Produced by the classic method of red vinification at temperatures of fermentation around 25 - 27° C and stay of the skins with the juice for five days. Following the alcohol and malolactic fermentation it matures for 18 months in oak barrels and at least 2 years in the bottle
Bottling: In the company's winery in Strantza, Naoussa
Annual production in bottles: 6.000
Organoleptic characteristics: It is vivid red with tawny hues in color, complicated maturation aromas and an intense harmonious flavour. It can be aged for a few years
Alcohol: 12,5 -13,0% vol
Sugar levels : 1,7 - 1,9gr/l
Total acidity : 5,5 - 5,8gr/l


It perfectly accompanies: game and red meats. It is opened an hour before serving and served at 18° C
